Campden tablets are metabisulphite in pill form. It is an antibacterial agent used to sterilize equipment and bottles. It is also added to wine to kill yeast and bacteria. Helps stop fermentation and stabilize the wine. Use in conjunction with potassium sorbate after fermentation ends. Be sure to thoroughly crush tablets - they do not dissolve. Use 1 tablet per gallon of wine. Crush before use.
